Over the past fifteen years I have conducted workshops and given talks in schools on Oxford and Cambridge admissions to students who are considering including Oxford or Cambridge in their UCAS choices. These have been based upon the knowledge and experience gained while Principal of one of Oxford's leading tutorial colleges over this period. I usually visit schools in the summer term preceding the students' final year. The workshops usually last one half-day (depending on the number of students involved), and a small charge to cover expenses is made. The normal format is: I .A general talk on admissions at Oxford and/or Cambridge, including Colleges, interviews and degree courses. If required, this can be combined with a discussion of applying to British universities in general. 2. An individual consultation with each student, usually lasting about half an hour, providing personal advice on college choice, interview tests, etc. This is done in cooperation with the student's teachers at school, taking full account of their assessment of the student's abilities. If preferred, the workshops can be held in Oxford, and it is also possible for a student to follow them up with our summer programme for Oxbridge candidates, held in Oxford. If you feel either or both of these possibilities could be of interest to you, please phone, fax or e-mail me at the above address. I look forward to hearing from you.
