Of the birds and the bees

A farmer was helping one of his cows give birth when he noticed his
four-year-old son standing wide-eyed at the fence soaking in the whole
event. The farmer thought to himself, "Great... he's four and now I'm
gunna have to start explaining the birds and the bees! But no need to
jump the gun, I'll let him ask before I say anything."

So he kept up the midwifery until the calf was safely delivered, then
walked over to his son in some apprehension, expecting questions to be
answered.

Sure enough, the still wide-eyed lad looked at his dad and gasped out,
"Dad, how fast was that calf going when it hit the cow?"
