Any other groups of netters doing trips to the dark to see the meteors.
I've been out on many a night for these when they were mild, so will
certainly be out with the chance of a storm, even though the west coast
is not predicted to have good chances.

Anyway, I have received one note about a trip to Grant Park (near Mt.
Hamilton). Any other trips going on? What are the chances of clear
skies on the coast -- that seems to be low on light polution and haze,
but high on fog.

What about at Lick itself, or is there too much light polution?

What about Fremont Peak Observatory (which is not near the town, it's
a fair bit south of Gilroy)

Or do people find the central valley worth going to, or has it too much
haze?

Note that the meteors radiate from Perseus, but that is usually not the
place to watch. Few meteors will actually appear there. In general,
just staring at the zenith is your best plan to get clear dark skies and
a wide field of view.

Any plans to use the net to broadcast the appearance of the storm? I
haven't been getting sci.astro of late.
