Hi everyone- About a month ago I posted an announcement for an astrophotography course being offered at the University of Colorado at Boulder starting this Sunday, September 15th. I've received quite a few emails showing interest in the course, however as of last Friday only 6 people have registered. As a consequence THE COURSE IS IN DANGER OF BEING CANCELLED! Thus, if you are interested in taking this course please register by this Thursday to prevent this from happening (we need at least 10 students). Should the course be held the small class size will definitely be a benefit- each student will have more time with equipment, which include 16" and 18" DFM and a 24" Boller & Chivens Cassegrain telescopes. The 18" has a 4x5 format photography setup as well as a SBIG ST-4 CCD camera; and the 24" has a TI 800x800 CCD (a prototype unit for the original Hubble Space Telescope WFPC camera). This may be the only time this course is offered, as available time at the observatory is increasingly limited. If you are interested and have questions please contact me. -Travis Rector Center for Astrophysics and Space Astronomy University of Colorado - Boulder email: rector@casa.Colorado.EDU
