Hi, Does anyone know if wt P. fluorescens is resistant against carbenicillin? I want to introduce a plasmid containing a beta lactamase gene which confers carbenicillin resistance as well as ampicillin resistance, but if this is to be successfull the bacteria must not be naturally carbenicillin resistant. Regards, Trond Erik Vee Aune

What might be more relevant is your strain resistant to Carbenicillin.
