Not quite quite right Ellen. The IUCN is the parent organization of the Convention (CITES) and they DO definitely maintain offices in Cambridge as well as in Switzerland. I have always found it easier to communicate and deal with the British branch. You make it sound as if Switzerland is the only place you can get Red Data book, etc. Wrong. The Cambridge Hq has a special publications unit to deal with this. I am in contact with them regularly. All fall under the umbrella of sponsoring organizations including the EEC, WWF and the United Nations. You can order from Switzerland also but I found in the past it took much longer.
