I would be grateful for any information about a plant from Argentina 
called Sarandi Blanco (Phyllanthus sellowianus).

The plant is a shrub reputed to have a therapeutic effect on diabetes 
and is being researched in London. The aim is to obtain enough native 
plant material for trials and propogation, but material already available 
from Kew Botanical Gardens has proven ineffective: It may be that a local 
environmental stimulus is needed for the plant to manufacture the active 
ingredient.

If anyone has any suggestions about better places to send this message, 
(On the Net or elsewhere) they would be most welcome.
