We are planning a project where we want to spend a year living from
nature.
We will collect data on how much we eat, what we eat, how do we catch
it, and how we are doing as a group.
We will hunt and fish, but are not yet decided what weapons we should
use, or whether we should make our own weapons.
Most of all, we will collect plants to eat.

We will start the project in spring 1998, and stay in the forest to the
spring of 1999. By 1998, some of us will have science-degrees.

We want to find an area for the project that is as like to the nordic
forests as possible, so we will not have to learn an entire new set
of plants and animals.
However, we are interested in forests all over the northern part of
the northern hemisphere, Alaska, Yukon, Sibiria etc.

We have made an WWW-homepage for the project. The URL is:
       http://www.ifi.uio.no/~kjetikj/HumanWild/

We are asking the net for help to find the right place to conduct
the project. Any suggestions are appriciated.
Please spread this article to anybody you think may have interest in
it.

Please answer by mail to kjetikj@ifi.uio.no or if you like to discuss,
post follow-ups to sci.bio (hope I won't get fried for the
cross-posting :-))

In some groups: see also subject: "Experiments wanted for year-long project"
