Dear All, I am investigating methods that can be used to measure the temparature of liquid-containing cells in medical instruments, especially those involving temperature sensitive liquid-indicators. The requirement is to be able to *indirectly* measure absolute temperatures down to +/- 0.1degC between 35 and 40degC. I have a paper published in Clinical Chemistry in 1976 which uses Tris as the temperature sensitive medium and cresol red as the indicator resulting in an absorption change with temperature, but I don't think that it will be sensitive or accurate enough. Does anyone have any further info in this (or any other thermal measuring technique that might be applicable)? Unfortunately, thermal imaging is out due to space and and direct measuring techniques such as thermocouples will be in practical. -------------------------------------------- Mike Hodges meh@wilj.itl.co.uk Wilj International Ltd Ashford Kent UK.
