Graduate Research Assistantships


Applications are invited for Research Assistantships leading to 
the Ph.D. degree.  Research opportunities involve cutting edge 
investigations on the molecular conformations of biopolymers by 
x-ray fiber diffraction and molecular modeling techniques.  The 
goal is to examine and understand the structure-property 
relationships in these macromolecues.  State-of-the-art 
technologies in x-ray crystallography and magnetic resonance, 
Silicon Graphics workstations dedicated to image processing and 
molecular modeling, several main frame computers, and scanning 
and transmission electron microscopes are available for research 
and instruction.  Students with B.S. (preferably M.S.) or 
equivalent degree in chemistry, physics, engineering or a related 
discipline are invited to contact Professor R. Chandrasekaran,
