Hello, netters.
A recent grant proposal, and the experiments we're designing
to go in it, has us working with very odd molecules with which
we have no experience, and we have no idea even of
proper terminology to use for a keyword literature
search.
Basically, these molecules are of the class of
highly derivatized DNA and protein polymers,
including cross-linked chains, folded DNA/protein
covalently bound to one another, and other derivatives
of biopolymers which aren't biologically
feasible--that is, which don't really
occur within organisms.
As theorists, our main problem is really
determining the capacity for something like
DNA to undergo "all" chemical reactions, not
limited to biological. So, if anyone might suggest
a set of search terms ("DNA" and "protein" just
are too general) we would greatly appreciate it.
Of course, any direct sources of information
along these lines would be even better-appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
