As a scientist, where do you purchase your computer software?  Do you prefer
to purchase directly from the manufacturer, or do you prefer to purchase from
a supplier?  Mail order?  Responding to advertisements in magazines?  From
systems integrators?

Yes, I work for a company that sells computer software.  As we release new
products, we hope to expand our markets, but we also want to do so in an
*intelligent* manner.  In part, that means that we want to get information
to our (present and potential) users in the way that most benefits the users.
Do you hate direct mail?  Love it?  If you don't tell us, we will never know.  

As always, the more specific the response, the more interesting, but since the 
point here is to listen to you, we would be happy to hear anything you would
like to say.  (This goes double for people responding from outside the US!)
