After completing a 3-year course in conservation, i am currently attending a one -year intership at  the I.B.N. de lisboa e do Livro Department of Conservation and Restauration of Graphic Documents.
I'm studying "The relationship between skins and metal corrosion and the different conservation approach to this problem", specifically I'm working on a manuscript book from the XIV th century in parchment and a leather binding with metal furniture.
I would be much obliged if you could provide me with information available on this subject, and to propose me with methods of treatment and also parameters and values to assure a correct storage.

I'm a student of the Superior School of Conservatio and Restauration in Lisbon , as my college above, and I'm doing a final project on Conservation and Restauration of illuminated parchments.
I would appreciate any information about the subject or the means to get it; ex.: cleaning methods, gap filling methods, consolidation of parchment damages by microorganisms.
