I home someone can help me with this one; I am trying to make clothes out of heavy soft clear plastic; you know, the kind of clear vynal that is used for shower curtains and so fourth. I am really trying to make clear raincoats therefore whatever I do must be watertight or nearly so. I have tried to use my sewing machine, but I keep breaking needles and jamming the stuff below the needle that controls the thread. I look at articles that are made out of clear plastic and they look like that they are sewn and sealed with some sort of heat method. Can anyone out there please shed some light on how to handle clear plastic? What kind of sewing machine do I need? A special one with some sort of heat applicator as well as a thread? Anyone out there in the plastics business who can help me with this? Mark
