Sometime ago someone on this group was kind enough to point me
towards ftpable source code for a PC implementation of the DES.

I am trying recover a *bunch* of things lost in a hard disk
crash. Would someone be kind enough to re-point me?

Many thanks.

(I'll bet this is a FAQ...)
