If the US govt was serious about the problem of illegals it
would simply pass legislation to make hiring them illegal with
heavy penalties for doing so including putting the CEO's of
corporations that hire illegals into jail for a few months.

No wall on the border would be needed.

The talk about a wall it to diguise this fact and make it look
like the US is doing all it can to 'solve the problem'...the
US govt is not about to solve the problem...its been issuing
over 700,000 green cards a year to service it corporate
donors.

Unfortunately for govt that has also decimated the income tax
base, and the US economy on which govt and these corporations
ultimately feed.

They think that by globalization they will sell their products
to a larger world market... that is only partially true. As
corporations decimate its own labor source it also decimates
its own profitability. .. regardless it is sure as hell
decimating the US middle class.

If the US middle class wants to survive it will get
legislation passed to imprison corporations and individuals
who are proven in court to be hiring illegal aliens as a
pattern of doing business (not just occasionally by accident).

That would work.
