One premature baby can cost over a $million, and that was 15 years ago.

That just reduces the tax, it doesn't eliminate the expense.
Still, our local hospital has embarked on a huge building program in the last
5 years or so, and we have quite a large population of low-income immigrants
and native-borns. The hospital can't be hurting that bad...
