Note the o space is multidimensional and contains several elements or
dimensions. The easiest way to describe it is by thinking of the data /
algorythm distinction in systems. It is roughly the equivalence
time-space in programming, so we can take advantage of the tradeoff
between both. IOW, people belong to the National Economy set (the
straight line), while the rules of the system are the definition of the
o set. Note also that in poiltical terms as depicted moving the knob to
the right we have more laissez fare, more right-ist economics, while
moving it to the left has more left-ish economics. In this motivating
metaphor, the market failure term is just a generic for what I think as
non legal, mafia style economic behaviours. (I tink of that set as
determined extensively and not intensivly, as it expresses different
structures of human behaviour, modulated by the o set, different from
the invisible hand market interactions that express some very well
defined behaviour or mechanisms). Note also that the f-set can not only
find an optimum, but *also* we can postulate some f-set such that one
side or both sides go null, WHILE at the sme time the ;ength of the
economy line grows or diminishes accordingly...
