Our Mag-Net Weather Stations project will kick off on Monday 4th May. The following Mag-Net schools in Victoria, Australia have been allocated automatic weather stations and will be collecting data this term. Diamond Creek East Primary Glen Katherine Primary Greensborough Primary Lalor East Primary Montpellier Primary Niddrie Secondary College Wimmera Net Schools Yinnar Primary The schools cover a wide geographical area across the state. Furthermore we have two schools located outside of Victoria, Beckenham Primary in Western Australia and Utti Primary in FINLAND. This makes the analysis of weather data even more interesting especially when students compare data from the northern hemisphere. All schools are welcome to use the weather data being collected online. You can view this from; http://penny.educ.monash.edu.au/magnet/weather/index.cfm Students from Peter Lalor Secondary College have analysed the weather data collected last year (using MS Excel '97) and the results of this analysis will be published soon. (Thanks to the DoE's Global Classrooms for funding the project and to Monash Uni, Faculty of Education for their Cold Fusion database support.)
