I think I have decided I would like to follow Linus and GNU in
the heart of OpenSource.
I would like:
1. Assistance writting the License so we can have some
order (versus chaos) and help develop some on-line
courses that are GPLed (GNU Public License) while at
the same time having focused efforts.
2. Actually writing and improving the course.
3. Redoing the graphics (publically also)
4. Translating (which is fairly easy with the on-line
translators) then error checking.
5. Mirroring the course.
Would anyone be willing to help?
I can offer my Cell biology "course" to start out with.. I had just
wrote it to teach a couple of my friends in 1994, but never had the
'free-time' to finish.
http://www.cbc.umn.edu/~mwd/cell.html
(It needs a lot of work).
Or perhaps someone else has a course out there that they would be
willing to GPL the course and images?
What is the reason for doing this?
1. To develop better, more complete and easy to use Educational
materials for everyone.
2. To keep the effort going (because I know I have been too busy
to finish).
3. To freely provide understandable educational material too anyone
that wants to learn.
Thanks!
Mark
