  Memorize or write down.  I do not use addressbooks.  Did not bother to 
in the past; now I feel justified since the most prevalent e-mail viruses

  If you mean electroconvulsive therapy, I think that's not cruel enough 
since one normally loses consciousness from that.  The worst effects are 
physical injury from the convulsions and erasing of short-term memory.
