Which, I should add, is visible to the courts. e.g. recent decision here in Australia against Sony trying to shut down PS2 "mod chipping". As I understand it the court ruled that a user buying a legitimate non-pirated piece of software in, say, the US, can reasonably expect to be able to play it on their machine legitimately purchased in Australia. Once again, it's not about piracy, it's about control of markets. Lets hope the courts get and stay savvy to this rubbish and toss it out every chance they get. Hollywood might moan that it will be the end of movies and blah blah blah. Great news, 95% of it is crap anyway. I'd happily download digitally signed audio from an artist's website and pay them $10 rather than buy a CD for $25 and have the recording company and all the other leeches take 95%, leaving $2 for the artist (if they're lucky). don't get me started!
