I recently picked up a HP 4972A LAN Protocol Analyzer, in perfect working order. Has all cables (external video, "option" cable, etc), AUI port on back (I'll throw in a 15-pin AUI cable and an AUI to 10base-T transceiver), even original HP warranty card. No manuals (currently), but a friend is loaning a set that I'm going to Xerox if I cant find an original set. Works great, screen is perfect, boots fine. Has Cable test, lan analysis application packs loaded. Has all available hardware options except the 1mbps hardware interface. I've even got the original yellow 3.5" floppy drive protector to put in the drive during shipping. Picture (of an identical unit, mine looks just like this) at http://www.mrbill.net/~mrbill/hp/4972A-2.JPG. Unit is in Austin, Texas, but I can ship anywhere (provided the buyer pays for packing and shipping, this weighs at least 50 lbs and is the size of an old original IBM PC or so). For sale (make an offer) or for trade; looking for older DEC equipment of any kind (preferrably PDP-11 or VAX stuff). This analyzer is a nice piece of equipment, I just really have no use for it and would like to see it go to someone who can make some use of it. Will consider any offers; I actually prefer trades over a cash sale.
