The mechanical parts are Canon (same as Scanjet Plus and Canon
IX-12F). The electronics are Dest's proprietary design.

Probably won't work. All the drivers for the Dest scanners want to see
Dest's SCSI interface card. The scanner is supposed to be ID#7 and the
Card is supposed to be ID#0.

You can try setting your card to the same port, DMA and IRQ. I was
unable to access my PC-Scan 2000 with my Adaptec bus-master card, as
it did not support the lower IRQ's and DMA channels used by the Dest
driver. There are no MAPI or Twain drivers available.

Although it has been said that it will work on certain MacInthings.

Dest's support has been taken over by Behavior Tech Corporation. (BTC)

Get imagepac.zip(?) and tkit3000.zip from their BBS.

Older versions of Zsoft PC Paintbrush supposedly are able to support
it.

Good Luck!
