Greetings,

My CD player has been malfunctioning lately. Some
of my disks do not play so well. There is a static noise sound
on top of the music. It sounds to me like large data dropouts or
something like that. The machine tracks well enough that there is
no skipping.

Is there some sort of alignment, cleaning, or adjustment
that would help? I took the machine in for a repair once and
the technician did a terrible job. He said the sled motor was
busted and replaced it. Of course the old sled motor worked when
I tried it. All that was wrong was a tangled rubber belt.

			Thanks in advance
