A nifty hand tool cuts the strips. Vector and Global Specialists both make boards similar to the above. Digi-key and other companies carry it. All strips are tinned for easy soldering and traces may be cut with an X-acto knife, razor blade (single :-), kitchen knife, meatcleaver, blunt screwdriver,eh, and if you're really desperate, a hot soldering iron held too long in one spot :-) Anyway, you can get the thing from design to completion very fast. A nicer system for finished products consists of a plastic board and copper traces of various traces and sizes that you glue on (and drill holes for). The end product looks like a pro circuit board ! (can be found in Newark catalog)
