*From: torkil@psivax.UUCP (Torkil Hammer) *Questions: *1. Why is there a minimum starting temp for the ballast? It is harder to ionize the gas in the tube when it is cold. I had an old ballast that was getting weak, and couldn't start a cold tube, but if I took the tube out and warmed it up under my electric blacket it would fire up and work fine.
