Intel iPLDSII PLD programmer

We are seriously considering the purchase of an Intel
iPLDSII programmable device programmer. I've looked at
some of the literature, and it seems to be a pretty capable
device, although the details on the software are somewhat
sketchy. (Plus the fact that I can't seem to get the
Intel sales rep for this area to return my calls...)

I'd like to exchange notes with anyone who has experience
with this system. We are looking at an Altera system as
 well (they send nice literature!).

Thanks to all of you who responded on my previous query
before Christmas regarding these type of programmers in
 general.
