Hello readers, I am trying to locate a newsgroup or forum for the discussion of topics related to hazardous and toxic waste handling, storage, and disposal. Any assistance would be appreciated.-- ******************************************************************************* Dale Sanders TRW/Space and Technology Group Phone: 801-625-8343 1104 Country Hills Drive Dale_Sanders@oz.bmd.trw.com Ogden, UT 84403 *******************************************************************************

I find myself dealing with these issues more and more and would love a resource in which I could learn and exchange experience with. I suggest that if there is sufficient interest we could put out a RFD. I'm not sure where such a group would fit though or what it should be called. Perhaps it could be put as a subgroup to sci.materials, for example sci.materials.haz-waste? I've cross posted this to sci.materials to see if there is any interest. As an ex HAZMAT team chief, I'd certainly be interested in participating as long as the group was chartered to deal with practical matters and where the ravings of the econazis are left at the door. What an excellent idea! I applaud the concept (although I don't necessarily
agree with this specific application). I too would like to see a newsgroup
devoted only to my opinion (and to those who agree with me). We could keep
out all those who disagree with me! What a great newsgroup! Kind of like
a segregated country-club, only better! NO RIFF-RAFF NEED APPLY!
(AND *I* DECIDE WHO ARE THE RIFF-RAFF!!)
How do I start it up?

Let's do it. My preference starting out - sci.hazwaste Could then branch off to .soil .water .air & .hvymtl .oil .rad etc.

Just to add my two cents, I also think this newsgroup would be useful. We pretty much have a handle on our chemical waste around here (FINALLY), but such a group would be useful. > Kent Goeking > Creare Inc. > kwg@spock.creare.com Ken
