I  know of several chemical engineers who started their own environmental
consulting firms.  In the U.S., environmental concerns are a BIG issue and
chemcical engineers are the people best equipped to deal with the by-products
and left over hazardous wastes that occur in any chemical process.  This is a
BIG feather in the cap of chemical engineering in general.

Chemical engineering, it's more than an adventure, it's a job!
