I will be translating several large simulation models from Xanalog to Simulink. I do not have any experience with Simulink (yet), but I have used Systembuild extensively, and also Xanalog. Translating the low level algorithm files (Xanalog) to mex files (MatLab) should be straightforward. However, I am wondering if there is a translation program for converting the block diagrams in Xanalog to the equivalent block diagrams in Simulink. My present plan for translating the block diagrams is labor intensive: print the Xanalog block diagrams, then manually input the block diagram into Simulink. However, these are large simulation models with several layers of block diagrams, and a large number of algorithm files. Thanks for any suggestions John Vorwald P.S. In a perfect world, ISI, Math Works, Xanalog, _______ (fill in your favorite controls/simulation package) would adapt a common, interchangeable, representation of systems. In a less perfect world they would provide translators. In a minimal perfect world they would provide a text base language to input the graphical block diagrams, instead of depending on point and shoot devices for inputing the control structure. Let's see, where do we live...
