I am currently undertaking research for my PhD into how companies can best change there business processes and structure/s to align with their customers requirements. I am presently carrying out a number of benchmarking exercises with 2nd tier automotive suppliers in the UK. In order to establish a methodology for the change process I need to carry out benchmarking with "World Class" organisations that exist within highly competitive and rapidly changing customer environments. To this end I would be interested in talking to companies in the computing and software fields. A number of companies come to mind and effectively constiute a 'wish list', these are listed below:- Compaq computers, Dell Computers, Sun Microsystems, Intel, Oracle, Texa Instruments, Novell, IBM, Apple, Digital, HP, Motarola, Silicon Graphics, EDS, Cray computers, Netscape, Cyrix, Microsoft. Even if your company does not fit within this profile I would still be interested in taking you on board should you exist within a dynamic environment. The benchmarking documentation is self contained and is designed to be used on a self assesement basis, however I will help in any way that I can in its completion. All correespondence will be confidential and any published findings will be anonemous should the participants require. All work carried out will be at no cost to the participants. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Please feel free to e-mail, snail mail, phone or fax your replies if you are interested.
