A friend told me about a research project that had resulted in the ability to survey an image in several layers of depth using fractals. I think the image in question was an iguana or some sort of creature of the sort and the image could be "blown up" (so to speak) on any area. The image was stored by using fractals. My question is: Does anyone know more information about this, especially who did it and where? A reference would be greatly appreciated too.
