	I just put the mandtool package on the spanky.triumf.ca fractal ftp site.
This system runs under sunview and was developed at the University of
Karlrushe in Germany. Uwe Krueger has generously allowed public access to the
source code. It is the system used to produce all the wonderful mandelbrot
images found in [pub.fractals.images.mandel] directory. Anyone out there care
to try and produce an xwindow port?

        The m_tar.z file contains the tar'd and compressed code. It should
be called m.tar.Z but VMS filenaming conventions won't allow it. Also the
mi2gif.exe image conversion utility should be called just mi2gif but these
are operating system specific problems and there are going to be lots of
those.
