The AGU (American Geophysical Union) through AIP (American Institute of Physics) offers access to KOSMOS/PINET which apparently (I don't subscribe) offers (among other services) online access to abstracts of research papers in Member Society journals as well as indexes. You can pay per hour ($10-$19) or a flat annual rate ($120).
