Schools for PhD - bioremediation & artificial intelligence

Hello. I've been working as an
environmental engineer and consultant for 5
years now and am quite certain that I would
like to make a career and lifestyle switch and
pursue a Ph.D. I've an MS from Stanford
and have experience and interest in
bioremediation and engineered biological
systems in general. I am particularly
interested in developing predictive tools for
environmental systems design. I would like
to explore the application of empirical
modeling methods (using artificial
intelligence techniques) to environmental
modeling, particularly the modeling of
biological systems.

I was wondering if anyone out there could
recommend an appropriate school and/or
advisor (in the US or abroad) who would
have similar interests and where such a PhD
could be pursued and funded?

Thanks in advance.
