Are there any general purpose public domain image processing packages that run on IBM compatible personal computers? I am looking for a package to do edge enhancement, shadowing, FFT, and particle counting on atomic force microscope images. Image files are 400x400 arrays of 2-byte integers. Any information on generic image processing packages for PC's would be appreciated.
