Stan,
how do I have to read this? What is 'coding of halftone images', there are a
lot of different ways to read this. Since the title says 'compression', do you
want to know about the compression of halftones? Also there is a big
difference between a halftone you have just generated and want to
store/transmit/print and a halftone image you have just scanned from a paper
original.
