In the process of grabbing a moving image, the frame I grab has
the fields split by n pixels, n apparently related to the speed
of the object as it is being grabbed. This shift occurs both
with a still-image digital camera (mavica 5000) and a digital
video camera (panasonic 9xxx). Although frame and field mode
can be selected on the mavica, it appears only to affect the
recording on floppy, not the live video image.
Is there a software or hardware solution to this problem. I
have the ability to manipulate the image in TIFF format after
I have grabbed it and stored it to disk, but I would really
like a solution that could be applied before the frame grabber.
Thanks in advance,
edge
