Ahem. It was me, and if I may say so, I resent your cheap blow.
I drink a lot of coffee at work, but not for the reason you imply.
If you call sizeof() a function call, you can't really be a very
experienced programmer. sizeof() evaluates at compile time to a
constant. And I was really only making a joke. Remember?
Did my last posting get lost before you saw it? I _have_ tried my
examples too, you know.
I recently wrote a convolution routine with only pointer indirection
and addition for addressing and no sissy extra loop increment variables.
Incomprehensible but fast. It _does_ make a difference.
No hard feelings - just getting things straight.
