-- Can anyone suggest better ways.... I have an application what is looking at a 64x64 pixel image of space objects (starts, satellites, junk...etc)... I need to be able to associate pixels that are above a given threshold into a probable object so that I can point a telescope at them. Currently, the method is to just take pixels that have no "off" pixels between them and call them an object. Several alternatives are: Scanning the image with a quad-cell centroid seeing when thing come above a given power and error level. Looking at local maxima... Any other reasonable alternatives that can be done with a small amount of compute? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Matthew R.
