I am going to be working on an X GUI project that will involve displaying maps of the world and several countries, at different scales and detail and complexity. Can anyone tell me where I can find maps in an image format such as GIF or other standard, or does anyone have what I am looking for stored away on there disk and be willing to share them with me? And/or C code drawing some basic outline maps in Xlib? Color would be best, but I'd be interested in bitone also. Thanks in advance.
