Factor Analysis Query:

I have recently read a number of papers on the topic of factor
analysis/eigen-image analysis of dynamic (i.e. time-varying) medical
images, by authors including Barber, Bazin & Di Paola, Houston, Samal,
Unser and Van Daele. I am interested in collecting comments from
anyone who uses or has tried to use these methods to analyse
scintigraphic or other time-varying functional images. Is there any
(portable) software easily available for this kind of analysis?. I am
especially interested in methods of correcting factor images for
background that are automatic and do not require any operator
intervention.

If there is sufficient interest, I will summarise responses to this newsgroup.

Thanks

Sean
