Press WH et al, 1992, SECOND EDITION, Cambridge University Press

That topic is covered in chapter 2, and routines to implement the
algorithms are provided. There is also a Numerical Recipes in FORTRAN
version of the same ideas (also look for SECOND EDITION, 1992)
