I am considering buying or building a SCSI adaptor between
the Kodak 4.2i digital camera and the SCSI bus. This camera
provides 8 bits of data and 3 status signals on 11 differential
lines at 10 Mhz. Output to the camera via SCSI is not
necessary or desireable, as the control interface is done
through a separate RS232 port.

I have the following questions:

1. Does anyone know of such an interface for sale?

2. What is the level of difficulty of designing a minimum
SCSI adpator such as this? I am a qualified hardware/software
engineer, but have never designed anything for the SCSI bus.

3. I am planning on using an off-the-shelf PCI SCSI board to
connect to this adaptor. What PCI SCSI board manufacturer is
easiest to deal with as far as getting enough information to
write a driver?
