REMOTE SENSING IMAGE INTERPRETATION
Opportunity for Graduate Studies

Students interested in the interdisciplinary science of automated
interpretation of remotely sensed data are welcome to submit
applications for graduate work in the Department of Systems Design
Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada. The
projects involve the segmentation/classification of remotely sensed
imagery, with a special emphasis on texture identification using
RADARSAT sea ice imagery. Interested students should have knowledge in
one or more of the following fields: computer vision, remote sensing,
image segmentation, texture analysis, and/or pattern recognition.
Funding is available. For information about the Systems Design
Engineering program, check out http://sydewww.uwaterloo.ca/. Contact
Dr. Clausi directly for more project information.
