There is a gopher server archive site for this newsgroup being
constructed on skyking.oce.orst.edu. Anyone who has access to gopher is
welcome to try it. You can either set your gopher server to that
address and look under "Information from the Coastal...", or use the
following, untested, gopher .link:

Name=Sci.image.processing archive
Type=1
Path=1/pub/sci.image.processing
Host=skyking.oce.orst.edu
Port=70

The gopher server includes a WAIS index. A WAIS server is being
planned.  The information may also be obtained via anonymous ftp to
RUBY.oce.orst.edu in pub/sci.image.processing.

Gopher source code is available for anonymous ftp from gopher.cs.umn.edu.
