Hello all!
I'm writing this on behalf of somebody who isn't email or USENET-
oriented yet, but is in search of some morphology software. He is looking
for something that will do form recognition and morphological analysis.
He already has something called MCID but it doesn't do what he wants it
to do. The images involved are cells that are very contrasted from the
background but contain organelles (nuclei) similar in colour to the
background, and he is measureing changes in the cell surface with time.
I've glanced through some of the postings here, particularly a
summary that Tim Allen submitted back in April. It was useful and
mentioned a few things that I've been unable to locate, i.e. ovip1
(actually, the server was down, will try that one again!), Mirage and..
well, I forget what else. If anybody has any more ideas on anything
available for the use that I've described above, please feel free to
write to me.
Sorry to bother you with what is surely a FAQ.
