This is just a reminder, but the creation of this group was to discuss image processing. This is not the proper place to ask about "how do read in GIF files" or where can I get a good image viewer for my PC? There is an entire group set up just for that purpose. It is alt.graphics.pixutils. The FAQ (as well as for comp.graphics) has a large amount of information on available software for displaying and manipulating images as well as on where to find the exact specs for the different file formats. This, like I said is merely intended as a friendly reminder as to what this group is supposed to be about. Please direct all flames to /dev/null. -- Dr. Roberto H.
