Hi,
I am in the process of writing a pc based application which employs a
framegrabber to import images from microscopes, video cameras, etc, to the pc.
This application will allow the user to micoralign and trace out relevant
biological structures which may later be imported into a 3d reconstruction
program. In addition, we are hoping to allow for montaging.
However, we need to find an appropriate framgrabber in which to design
around. We are looking for one with the following capabilities:
1. Hardware Zoom. We want to be able to instantly zoom in and out of
a picture. We also want the ability to instantly move around
within the zoomed image.
2. Ability to rapidly toggle between a live image and a stored image.
Obviously, this will be used for micro alignment.
3. Extensive set of C library routines which allow us to overlay
contours ontop of the image as well as the ability to pop up
a menu.
4. Must run on an ibm pc platform.
I would appreciate any useful information on the subject and I will post a
summary.
Thanks,
